After a wonderful day of rest, my legs felt great this morning.  I'd say they felt the best they have since coming off my injury.

I ran an easy 15.3 miles at faster pace than normal, but felt great.

What a great day!

I don't have to be at work until noon today, so I was able to run after the sun came up.  It was an amazing 61 degrees, overcast, and a mild breeze.  I headed out south of town and then took a trail off in the desert that I have not run before.  It was a real fun trail to run.  There were some steep up and downs, but the trail was decent without much loose gravel or jagged rocks.  It ended up making a big loop about 4.5 miles long.  The rock formations were real cool out there.   Then I headed back home for a total of 11.3 miles.

Now I'm just playing hooky with my sweetie while the kids are at school and I still have an hour and a half till work.  I think we'll go out for an early lunch together.  That should be fun.

I started out my run as a nice easy recovery run this morning.  My legs were tired, but felt pretty good considering yesterday's long run.  I am speaking in church this Sunday and I was going over my talk and making final revisions in my head.  I got caught up in my thoughts and feelings and it looks like my recovery run turned into a progression run on accident.  I wasn't monitoring my speed, but when my watch beeped at mile 8, I had lost track of my miles so I looked down to see what mile I was on and saw that I had run the 8th mile in 7:07.  I pulled back at that point.  When I was done I looked at my splits.  My first mile was 9:54 and my 8th was 7:07 with every mile getting faster than the previous.  Miles 9 and 10 were around 7:30.

AP ended up being 8:10

At this Christmas time, I want to testify of my knowledge through the Spirit of the divinity of Jesus Christ.  I hope we can all try and remember Him always.

Doone and I celebrated our 17th anniversary this morning with a nice little 6 mile run together.  Last night we went to Vegas and went to the temple and out for dinner for a little more traditional celebration.  After running 6 with Doone I did 4 more at a faster pace.  It felt good to push a bit and breath hard for a change.

Total run 10 miles.
