Slept in this morning so I missed spin class.

I snuck out of work at lunch and got in a full body weights workout. I did some really like to raises to test out the PF tendon. It felt good. No pain. Maybe I can gradually work that up to stregthen it.

I'm taking my 3 boys camping tonight (fathers and sons campout.) I hate seeping on the ground in a tent, but the boys love it. Wish me luck.

Hope the campout went well, I hate sleeping on the ground too. I can't camp without my nice big air matress. I even wake up sore on that thing too.

Hope you're having a great night and have high spirits! :)

Okay Rhett, I need an update!! I'm counting on you being strong and optimistic when I am not.

What say ye?

Hey, Rhett, how was the campout? How is your foot feeling? have you been taking those brisk walks?

From Rhett on Tue, May 19, 2009 at 12:40:57 from 170.215.58.122

Teena when it comes to running and pushing my body I am strong and optimistic. I've learned that I am weak and not so optimistic when it comes to nagging injuries. I have been working out, but I just can't bring myself to blog non runs anymore. I will keep checking on you though and comenting on your amazing ability to stay positive.

Dale, I love all of camping except the sleeping part. It is worse than the night before a big race. I just lay there awake all night. I had a blast with the boys hiking around and enjoying the mountains though. I did hike with the boys and my foot was pretty sore the rest of the day and Sunday. I'm not see much more improvement lately. I feel like I have platued.

Rhett...I used to have a lot of trouble sleeping in the mountains. Then I tried some ear plugs and my troubles ended. Even though it was usually very quiet at night, the ear plugs seemed to help. I wear them the night before races, too.

I am glad you have found some things to do while you are absent from running! pool running sounds much better in AZ during this time of year anyway!!! Gotta look at the positive side of things, right?

It's weird not seeing a new post every day.

Happy Birthday, Rhett!!!! Let me know how those Vibram Five Fingers work out when your foot is better. I've thought about getting some myself.
