My leg has been feeling good the last couple days so I decided to give it a try this morning.  The first mile went great and I was dreaming about how I was going to be able to get back to full training this week, and then during the seconded mile, my calf started to give me grief again and I had to walk back home. :(

2 easy miles

I'll try again next week.

what is the malfunction with your calf?

From Rhett on Tue, Dec 10, 2013 at 15:49:50 from 24.121.0.8

Not sure Slick. The exact same injury happened this summer and it took a good month before I was running again. I don't have that kind of time to waste with the Phoenix Marathon coming up too fast.

I've been dealing with the same ol' calf strain for the past year or so. Every time it feels good, I run and then it hurts again. The ortho doc also told me I had a lot of knots in my calf, which never seem to go away. I hope your calf gets better so you can train for the marathon.

Thanks Dale. So did he give you any advice on overcoming your calf problem?
