Doing it a Boston would be sweet!

It was sweet!

Break 3 hours again, but now as a masters runner. It's been 9 years since my last sub 3. I better do this soon as I'm not getting any younger.

Nothing right now.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep on running.

Complete a Full Ironman

It was supposed to cool down to the upper 80s overnight but I was sorely disappointed when I got up at 5:00 and it was 95.  I therefore grabbed 2 water bottles and ran a couple miles to the track where I met up with Blake and we did a true Yasso's workout which is 10 x 800 m with 400 m recovery jogs. I haven't done this for years. Anyways, I averaged 2:55 per 800, so according to Bart Yasso I should be able to run a 2:55 marathon...NOT!  I mean that is what he predicts but I really don't think I can go sub 3. Who knows, maybe if I had the perfect day I could but after my Boston disaster, I have no confidence in my marathon abilities.  Back to my run this morning, I then ran back home for a total of 12 miles.

Great Yasso workout! Bart's plan really works and if anybody can do a sub three hour mary it's you Bro Rhett. And I think that the course at the Full Monte is built just for you and your running style... Forget that last Boston...You can do a sub 3 hr on this course in a mere 82 days!!!! Chow-Boing!

Thanks Slick. I hope you are right.

AWESOME job on the Yasso workout! Hey I see that both you and Slick have signed up for the Full Monte! I've never run that one before! Hmm...really tempted to sign up. I'm a sub-6 marathoner now! haha! :)

Hi Smooth! It's great to hear from you. It's good to hear you are still running, even if not as fast as you would like. I'm sure you will get back. Give Larry my best wishes.
