Boy did the weather change here while I was gone last week. It was only 57 degrees and really windy this morning. I actually wore long sleeves for my run. After climbing nice and easy about 1000 feet over 5 1/2 miles I turned around and ran back down at 6:35 pace for 5 miles and then did about a mile cool down. It felt good to run fast for the first time since I injured my calf about 2  1/2 weeks ago.

Well Bro Rhett, are you doing a three week taper or two? 'Cause you are quickly approaching your date with the Nov 3 Mt. Lemon Marathon in Tucson!!! It's now really time to be ever vigilant against injury or sickness, don't do anything stupid in your last 19 days before the race! Good Luck Sir Rhett!!!!!

Even though we all know it, it’s always a good reminder to taper properly. I’m a 2 wee taper guy so this is my last week of volume.
