As Paul predicted, tonight was take the kids to the gym with me and run on the TM night. My legs were still feeling a bit sore and tired from Monday nights hard 15 mile effort, but I got started anyway. I did one warm up mile at 8:00 then set the TM for a run speed of 10.0 (6:00) and a jog speed of 4.3 and got started. The first mile felt fast and tough, but then I got into my rythm and never felt cardiovascularly pushed the rest of the way. My tired legs did make me wonder a few times if they would hold up though. I did up my rest time to 4 minutes between repeats since the legs were tired. I was feeling good on mile 6 so I upped the pace to 10.3 for the last 2 minutes of that mile and did it in 5:55. All running was done on 1% incline.

At the beginning of tonights run I was wondering if I would get it all done, but I did it!!!!

Great job, Rhett. Someday my legs will be able to move that fast.

Wow Rhett you are the man!

I really need to learn how to pre program the treadmill. What brand of treadmill is at your gym?

AWESOME TM workout! I'd love to be there and watch you run #10 & 10.3 on the mill...so cool! It'd be dangerous for me to attempt such a thing.

Thanks guys, it was neat to realize as I was doing my last repeat that I wasn't breathing to hard or anything and except for my legs, it felt comfortable.

Teena, great to hear from you. How is school coming? Do you get a spring break? What kind of training if any have you been up to? I hope your feeling better.

PK,

School is coming along, just finished midterms, hallelujah!! Spring Break next week ... sweet ... have one paper that I need to write, but that's it! :)

Mostly I have been cross-training during the week and getting a long run in on Saturdays. My pace is suffering a bit, but at least I get to run. Contemplating a 20-miler this Saturday, but will cut it way short if I need to.

Seriously Rhett ... you amaze me. You are doing so awesome!! Keep it up PK!
