I tried to run on the TM at 5% incline this morning but within half mile my calf started hurting so I upped the incline to 15% for a while then dropped it to 10 percent for the rest of the run and was ok.

2.5 miles in 30 minutes with 1400 ft elevation climb

Then 30 minutes elliptical.

My calf is now sore when walking, but not if I walk on my toes.

Not good. Just the thought of even walking on an incline makes me tired and out of breath.

so tell me - in your other four runs this week did you run at 0 incline or what? And why are you pushing the issue with you calf this early in the recovery? Inquiring minds want to know!

My calf is feeling fine this morning although I haven't run since Friday since I was out of town this weekend. As long as I run at really steep inclines I seem to be fine. I guess I should train for Pikes Peak half. :)
