MORNING

I did 6 easy  recovery miles this morning with 10, 10 sec hill sprints over the last mile.  Since I did my pleometric jumping last night I was a little worried I might be sore this morning, but my legs felt great, especially on the hill sprints.

6 miles, 50:40, Avg pace 8:27

 EVENING

Jump rope, 25 mins

Cumulus Miles: 6.00

You're just in TOO good of shape Rhett!!! If I tried the pleometric jumping I'd be sore for a week.

Thanks Dale, but I'm feeling fat, that is why I am doing the extra evening work outs. Hopefully by the end of the year I'll be lean and ready to PR at Painters.

Yeah, I felt fat last night after I ate a Superstar burger combo at Carl's Jr. Mmmm, Sure was good. I better have a salad tonight.

Hey Rhett so what is your plan for tonight. I just did a few push ups and sit up right before getting into bed just so I could say I did a PM work out. I need to do better tonight.

From Rhett on Wed, Dec 03, 2008 at 12:58:22

Kathie, I am not sure exactly what I'm going to do tonight, yet. I might go to the gym for some eliptical work. I may stay home and do some jump roping. Way to go on the pushups and sit ups before bed though. I believe that anything that revs up the system a second time per day will keep the metabolism ramped up and the body burning more calories.

Great job man. That is a great workout. If anything sounds like it made you even feel better. That is what I love about xtraining. Active recovery. Looks like you are working it out just right.

From Smooth on Wed, Dec 03, 2008 at 15:12:01

I love reading your training. You're so dang creative, smart and fit. OK, instead of eating chocolates before bedtime I'm gonna do a few situps and leg lifts. I should try the plyometric too. It will come in handy running over icy slushy puddles when the snow starts to fly here. BTW, I printed out your TWO WEEK training schedule. I want to figure a way to mash yours with Pfitzinger's and come up with a SMOOTH Boston bound schedule. Wish me luck.

From Rhett on Wed, Dec 03, 2008 at 15:48:19

Smooth, I think that every runner needs to come up with what works for them. All these marathon training plans are good suggestions and a good starting place, but we don't all fit into the same mold. Then after we figure out what works for us, I think in continually needs to be tinkered with to make it better and better. If we always do the same thing, how will we get any better? Good luck finding the "Smooth Boston Plan."

Rhett,

I agree with Dale ... you are just to dang fit!! Maybe I should do a super speedy house-cleaning at night ... could that be considered a 2nd workout? I'll vacuum like no one has ever vacuumed before!!
