Some nice EZ miles this morning to keep the legs fresh for Sat.

6 miles TM 1% @ 7:30

I did some core work before running as well, but skipped the weights today.  I think I'm taking this 5K a little too serious, but when you don't run 5Ks very often, you have to show up on race day with your A game.

Oh I hear you dude. I dont run the 5k much either. And if you have kept good track from last year at it. You can really see kind of where you are speed wise. I would try to do everything right to make this 5k as good as you can get it. I sure hope you can beat your last years race time. Did you have any PF pains at that point last year??

No last year my foot was doing well and I was coming off my sub 3 at SGM and feeling very good about my running. What a difference a year makes.

Nice run Rhett. I ran another .1 at 9.0 in you honor again today...still way too hard to run any further.

Nice job on the "easy" miles. LOL. I don't run 5ks much, either.

I'm excited for you 5K this weekend..can't wait to hear how you do. You've been so patient in your recovery this year..time to reap some rewards (and maybe an AG award)

You train, run AND race like a PRO!!! I'm rooting for you to WIN this 5K on Sat. You deserve a win!

How would it be to say nice easy miles at a 7:30 pace and 1% incline!!! HARDCORE!!!!

Can't wait to read all about your 5K. Anyone else in the family running it?

From Rhett on Fri, Nov 20, 2009 at 12:06:55 from 74.42.168.210

Thanks everyone. I am excited to race tomorrow and am trying to mentally prepare myself to run in the painful 5K state and not back off. If all the normal people show up, 3rd place overall and 2nd in my AG will be the best I can do. I would be very happy with that. Who knows who will show though. Some times we get some speedy out of towners come in for our races.

Teena, Doone, Chase and Cade are all going to run. Cade is only 5 so hopefully he will just keep following the other races. When I finish, I'll turn around and go back for him. He is soooo cute when he runs.

LOL that is going to be alot of fun tomorrow. Your going to do awesome. Just remember its only 3.1 miles and not 26.2. That helps me to push through alot of that pain.
