I didn't have to be into work until 10 this morning so I slept in a bit, helped the kids off to school and then did my run around 8.  It's nice to run with the sun up.  I warmed up for 1 mile and then dropped to a tempo pace and did 3 miles at 6:30.  I was feeling a bit tired so I slowed to an easy pace for 2 miles and then I decided to pick it back up to tempo pace for the 7th mile.  Halfway through I looked down at my watch and relized I was running a 6:12 pace and I felt good so I dropped the hammer and finished the mile hard.  Did it in 6:03.  Then I cooled down for half mile and called it a day.  It was a good run to start the week.

Avg.  pace 7:11

My SGM pace was 6:50, 2 seconds faster than planned.

Dang man. Once I catch up to Fly I will next have to catch up with you and Andy. You are diffently setting the bar way up there man. Cant wait to see what you do at Boston. Sub 3 would be totally awesome.

Hi Smooth. I was just reading your blog. Sounds like you've been putting in some good miles and helping some others out along the way. Yes, I registered last week. Are you all set to go to Boston? You never mentioned cramping during SGM. Have you figured it out? I hope that never happens to you again.

The last time I had cramping was at Park City. I didn't have any cramping issue at TOU or SGM. Not susre if I had it all figured out. I ran TOU with my niece & her husband and SGM with my friend, all first time marathoners at their paces. So it was like running lsd runs where cramping's never an issue. We'll see how it goes as I resume training for Boston.

I haven't registered for Boston yet. I will before the snow flies.

I love your posts and learn so much from your training. I started some core workout/strength training. I really like your 2 weeks approach. I'll be following your progress with interests. You're awesome.

Paul Peterson (paul.fastrunningblog.com) on the blog used to train with him and seems to have done well with his program. Curious as to what thoughts you might have.

Paul, there is a lot of info to digest there. It looks pretty informative. Give me a bit and I'll look at it some more, but at first glance it looks promising.
