1 hour morning bike ride.  I'm getting faster!

After work I had to swim at the aquatic center because it was crazy windy out and the lake looked like the ocean.  I swam one mile in 30 minutes. I don't like doing laps in a pool. I never seem to get in a good rhthym having to turn every 25 meters.  I definitely perfer open water swimming.

5 miles running later in the evening waiting for Chase to finish soccer practice.

Did you ever follow the FIRST marathon training program? I think I remember that for your sub-3 at Boston you did a lower volume, higher intensity plan but couldn't remember if you followed a specific plan or came up with it on your own.

Dale, I'll be doing the Pumpkinman Half Ironman on October 19. I'm getting excited.

Andy,

Yes The first time I BQ'd I followed the FIRST training plan. With both my sub 3 marathons I modified the FIRST plan to be a little more intense but still followed the general premise. The key to making it work is going very hard on the cross training days.
