Officially I ran the Pocatello Half Marathon.  I don't even know what my time was though.  After the start of the half, I crossed the timing mat and walked out to the road where the marathoners were coming by.  Larry (Smooth's amazing husband) was there and I chatted with him for about 8 minutes when Doone came running by.  Off I went.  I asked Doone how she was doing and could tell she was working a bit hard to keep that pace up for the rest of the race, so I didn't push her, just tried to remain positive.

The first few miles my leg was a bit sore, but then I had no more pain for the rest of the race.  Teena helped my KT tape it up the night before.  She's good.  She's going to be the best PT ever.  You guys who live close to her and will be able to use her sevices are lucky.

Anyways it was a beautiful day for a run.  I had lots of fun and my leg doesn't seem any worse for having done it.  I think I'm going to take it really easy for another month and hope that I can put this injury completely behind me.

It was so much fun to see Smooth, Larry, Teena, and Kathie the night before the race and after the race.  You all are awesome!  Congrats on your great races.  I hope to see you all soon.

Rhett ~ It was sooooo fun to see you and Doone! I forgot to mention how buff you looked! :) You're a WONDERFUL support to Doone and AWESOME coach! I can see how you two are perfect for each other. Larry kept commenting what a wonderful couple you are! He told me about you crossing the start mat and stood to wait for Doone! We both chuckled!

What a great Cougar fan too to drive down for the game and back up to Idaho! GO COUGARS!!!!

The BEST part of my first marathon was running it with Ry. I am certain that Doone feels the same about her first and running with you! YOU TWO ARE AMAZING!!! I count myself very lucky to be your friend. I just love you both so much.

How is your leg feeling today?

Tim- yep it was way cool to run with my sweetie in her first marathon. I just wish I could have run the whole thing with her.

Smooth- it was a blast seeing you all. I told Larry that he needs to get his own "Super Marathon Spectator" shirt. He has to be the best and most supportive marathon supporter out there. The BYU game was a blast. Chase loved it especially with the Cougs winning. Go Cougs!

Teena- Yep getting to run with Doone was amazing. I never thought that would ever happen. My leg feels amazing today. This is the first time in 4 months it doesn't even seem tender to the touch. You worked some magic on my leg. Thanks.

I hope you told Teena about that highly contagious foot fungus of yours.

Way to go Rhett! So cool to be there for your lovely wife -- both during her training and the last 13.1 miles of her first marathon! I hope they took lots of pictures..they'll be priceless! Congrats to you, and to Doone!
