Wise to get back in the pool.

Rhett,

This is a fair amount of info to digest (I'm not even through it), but this thread is by two world class coaches and has a lot of sound training advice. What are your thoughts? I've backed off of HR training, but this has some information I had not seen before.

Paul,

Looks like an interesting thread. I'll need a little time to completely read it all. I'll give my 2 cents when I finish reading it all. My first impression is, it seems complicated with all those percentages of 5K pace, etc. I may have to take a math class before I can figure out what they are saying.

Paul and Rhett,

Figure it all out and let me know if it worth looking into!!! :)

Nice pool running Rhett. :)

(so wish I had a pool in my yard --- Lucky!!!)

Hadd had an earlier long thread in which he explains the aerobic base building. It is sort of a background to the recent post. It is found at a couple of places, including http://www.counterpartcoaching.com/hadd.pdf
