Swam for 1 hour focusing on drills specifically the high elbow catch.

2 mile easy run as my final run and workout before the half on Saturday.

Tomorrow I will be in Palm Springs all day for continuing education. It will be a very long day.  Then Friday is my mother in laws funeral.  She went home Saturday after a quick fight with lymphoma.  She lives in our ward, so I will conduct her funeral.  Hopefully I can keep it together.  Doone is doing well considering she just lost her mother for a while.

My sympathies to your family, Rhett.

My sympathies to you, Dune, and your kids. Loosing a parent is very difficult and not keeping it together can be part of grieving. Good luck with funeral.

My thoughts and prayers are with you both!!!

On a different note I think tracking the Boston runners is more fun than running! What do you think?

From Rhett on Mon, Apr 16, 2012 at 10:48:33 from

Kathie, I've been swamped at work this morning. How are they all doing? I hear it is hot, hot ,hot this year. Maybe we were lucky not to be running this year. It's great to hear from you.

Teena is doing great. Andy looks to be hitting a wall. I don't get anything on Marcie so I think she is not running. smooth is going very slow I hope she is not hurt

From fly on the Wall on Mon, Apr 16, 2012 at 12:14:22 from

Teena finished sub 3:30 and bested Andy's time by over 12 minutes!

Everyone else seems to running as expected for a sauna! Yuck.

From timp on Mon, Apr 16, 2012 at 12:51:42 from

yeah that was very well done by Teena

From DaleG on Mon, Apr 16, 2012 at 12:58:13 from

wow, way to go, Teena!!! I know Smooth was planning on running slowly and enjoying the race. I wish I would have taken the time to track the runners.

Sorry for your loss, Rhett. I hope everything went well. My condolences to you and your family.

Dale, Smooth is still out there- #20598

From Rhett on Mon, Apr 16, 2012 at 14:04:15 from

Wow! Teena rocked it. She's going to by flying high on her flight home tonight! I hope Smooth is just out there enjoying Boston... not hurt. I also hope Andy took that same approach to the race or he will be upset with his effort. I heard that they offered anyone that wanted to not run due to the heat an exemption for next year. I doubt many runners took them up on it though.

From timp on Mon, Apr 16, 2012 at 14:06:59 from

Yeah I wouldn't think too many took them up on the offer. Its not like it would have saved any one any travel or entry money. At least it sounds like good PR.

From fly on the Wall on Mon, Apr 16, 2012 at 16:51:46 from

I think Canyon, aka Marcie took them up on it.
