I did the same mile repeat work out as 2 weeks ago, but I only did 3 min. walk breaks instead of 4 min.

1 mile warm up 8:00

6 1mile repeats at 6:00 with 3 min walk breaks in between

1.8 mile cool down 8:00 pace

All done on treadmill at 1 % incline

The final fast mile was tough. I used a new jedi mind trick. The 4th and 5th min of the mile I upped the speed to 10.2 and then the last minute when I thought I was going to die I put it back to 10.0 and that felt slow after being at the faster speed for 2 minutes.

The best part about tonights run is, it is my last mile repeats workout before Boston. Yea!!!!!

Awesome woorkout, Rhett. Sometimes I do that same Jedi mind trick. It works. Also, since I have to do a lot of treadmill training, if I'm feeling like I need a little motivation, I'll watch some recordings I have of the New York and Boston Marathons. Those are always inspiring.

Excellent. I think these hard intervals have really helped you.

I'm not sure what to expect in the half on Saturday. I was shocked with your Painters time, so maybe I should shoot for 1:30 ish. I've just never raced a half before so am clueless.

Paul, I had a bunch of weird stuff going on at Painters with my foot and the steroid bloating and all. I'm sure you will run a great 1/2. Good luck and have fun.
