Slept in again this morning.  Boy did that feel good!  I'll get my run in this evening.

I took the kids to the gym while Doone went to young women's.  I decided to get in some speed work on the TM.  1% incline

warm up 2.5 miles at 8:00

1 minute jog at 5.5mph then 1 minute jog at 11.0 mph... repeat 20 times for a total of 5.6 miles

1.9 mile cool down at 8:00

Total run 10 miles 1:15:00

It felt really good to get in some fast running.  My right hammy started getting a little tight on the last few repeats though.

It always feels good to sleep in...Now, when was the last time I got to do that? Hmmmm...Been way too long.

I hope your run goes well.

Sleep it is my favorite part of my training plan! I hope you have a great run tonight.

From Teena Marie on Wed, Mar 17, 2010 at 22:22:53 from 174.52.45.85

Funny -- me too! Not running tonight ... but I slept in. I'm on the upright bike as we speak. :)

Hope your run went well!

From Smooth on Wed, Mar 17, 2010 at 23:59:29 from 174.23.198.220

So glad you slept in! How was your run tonight?

From Rhett on Thu, Mar 18, 2010 at 00:07:15 from 74.32.219.227

My run felt great tonight.

And for the record, sleeping in meant I didn't get out of bed until 6:30. What happened to the good old days when sleeping in meant a getting up around 10?

From Smooth on Thu, Mar 18, 2010 at 00:20:36 from 174.23.198.220

Seriously, 6:30 is NOT sleeping in!

NICE one ON one OFF Speedwork tonight! Get that hammy loosened up. Do you do dynamic flexibility exercise before speed workout?

From Kathie on Thu, Mar 18, 2010 at 00:31:29 from 63.248.105.188

Ok just for the record you can't use the word jog and 11.0 miles per hour in the same sentience that is RUNNING for sure my dear Rhett!

From Rhett on Thu, Mar 18, 2010 at 12:19:16 from 74.32.219.217

Smooth, I usually do some dynamic flexibility before speed work but did not last night. Thanks for the reminder.

Kathie, that was a typo, the 5.5mph was a jog. 11 mph was definitely a fast run.

From Teena Marie on Thu, Mar 18, 2010 at 12:20:37 from 155.99.200.149

Man -- I am shaking my head ... you are so so so FAST!!!!!

Seriously ... so impressive!!! :)

Have Doone really rub along the fibers of your hammie while you are laying on your tummy. Make sure she gets those origin and insertion areas good. Seriously. I have been having Ry work on me every other night, it has helped tremendously!!! You can buy a little jar of Palmers Cocoa Butter at Target (not the lotion, this stuff comes in a little jar/tub like thing) that works well as you work on the area. She will really be able to dig in deep if she uses her ulna bone instead of just her fingers. Seriously!!!

You are on fire!!! ROCKSTAR!!!
