Wow my legs felt great this morning!  I guess this rest week is paying off.  I kept it down to 4.1 miles this morning and had to force myself to keep it slow.  AP 7:45

Tomorrow I'm going to do my full 20 miler, but I am going to try my best to keep it at 8:00 pace and not speed up to my normal pace on a 20 miler.  Then next week I get to start going fast and long again!!!!!!!!!

Stick with it nice and easy bro. And great to hear the legs are feeling great again. Got to love it.

Have a nice long one. :)

Hey Rhett, I hope your long run goes well tomorrow. How many more 20 milers do you have?

From DonGardinero on Sun, Mar 08, 2009 at 12:34:15 from 75.162.183.56

Did you get your 20 miler in on Saturday, Rhett? How was it? I did my long run last night but for some reason it doesn't show up on my blog. It just shows the mileage for the week so far. Strange.

What are you training for? Boston? Are you going to do the Havasu half on the Apr. 4th?

From Rhett on Mon, Mar 09, 2009 at 17:33:09 from 170.215.58.122

Burt, yes I'm doing the Havasu Half Apr. 4 but I'm going to run it at marathon pace not race it. It will be my final tune up before Boston. Are you doing the Havasu Half?

From Burt on Mon, Mar 09, 2009 at 18:38:12 from 68.76.197.194

Rhett - I figured the half would be a good workout for you heading up to Boston two weeks beforehand. I'm thinking about doing it. Do you know if there's a website for it? I just got an email about it, and all it had was a contact name.

From Burt on Mon, Mar 09, 2009 at 18:49:30 from 68.76.197.194

Oh. Just found the website. Who knew if I googled 'Havasu half marathon' it would be the first choice?

From rhett on Mon, Mar 09, 2009 at 19:49:50 from 170.215.58.122

darn you beat me to the sarcastic post of, "Have you tried HavasuHalf.com ?" It should be a great race. Burt, what is your Boston goal?

From Burt on Mon, Mar 09, 2009 at 20:51:35 from 98.167.151.26

Well, I guess it's my turn for the sarcastic post. Seeing how the only marathon I've ever run was over 5 hours, my goal is to sit back with a glass of lemonade, and enjoy the race. Good luck to you, though. I'm sure another sub 3 is within your reach.
