Woke up this morning with mild discomfort in foot.  I iced it, took my steroids and went to the gym for more eliptical work.

40 mins Arc Trainer.  Again no pain with this type of exercise.

Way to stick with the RICE! Keep it up and you will be ready to go on Saturday.

From Smooth on Tue, Jan 13, 2009 at 17:49:45

No pain with Arc and elliptical is GOOD sign. Be vigilant on RICing and the prednisone. Hope your foot heals fast.

Are the roids disrupting your sleep at all?

Hope you wake up today with very little, or better yet, no discomfort in your foot.

Here's to the quickest healing available!! :)

So far I can't tell any side effects of the roids accept that I've been more hungry than usuall and have therefore eaten more than normal. I foot feels about the same. I won't really know until I run on it tomorrow night. I think I will wear my heavier cushioned shoes with the orthotics and I bet I'll be fine. I hate to race in those shoes those, they make me slow.

Rhett...Those 'roids must be doing something to you...lol.

Seriously, I hope you foot feels better for your test run.

From Kathie on Wed, Jan 14, 2009 at 14:06:12

I am glad to see you are still going to race. Take it easy... remember you goal is Boston. You could always run with me I will totally slow you down! On second though that is not a good idea at all I remember what happend when I tried to run with Andy!

From Smooth on Thu, Jan 15, 2009 at 14:00:04

Good luck on your "test run" tonight. Hope your foot/ankle co-operates.
