I've been gone with the family in Orlando the past week doing the Disney thing.  I can't believe how exhausting it is to do that day after day for a week.  I don't know how people who are out of shape survive it.  I was so tired last night when we got home I was asleep before 7:15.

I got up this morning and weighed in to see what the damage from a week of eating out was.  I added a few pounds.  I'm back up to 170, jikes, my race weight is usually below 155.  I want to get to 160 before heading to Belize in 3 weeks and 5 days, but I don't want to loose any upper body muscle in the process.  I'm going to have to be hard core with my exercise and eating to pull it off.

Gym this morning

10 minutes elliptical

upper body weights

30 minutes elliptical

I think my leg is better, so I'm going to go for a run tonight.  I think I'll need 2 a days until Belize to make my goal weight.

I have not read anyones SGM report yet.  I look forward to reading them all this week.  I did see some times though and am very impressed with all of you.

PM

I ran pain free for the first time in 5+ months!  I only went 2.5 miles and I ran at an easy pace.  I didn't even wear a watch.  I hope to build up a nice milage base nice and slowly before I start into any speed or tempo work.

I was more sore after spending 3 days at Disneyland than after any marathon that I have run. Glad you made it back safely.

WELCOME home! NICE workouts! You are so committed...I am 100% certain that you will succeed in getting your weight down to where you want it and the body to tip top training shape! So excited for you getting back to running!!! :)

Welcome back Rhett. Amen on your Disney comments. Can't wait to hear how your run goes. Is this going to be your first one since the stress fracture?

From Rhett on Mon, Oct 11, 2010 at 19:38:09 from 184.10.154.226

Mack, my stress fracture as best I can pin point first happened in April, 3 days after the Boston Marathon. I then ran on it for a month before going to the doc and finding out it was a SF. I did some easy running in August so I could run the second half of the Pocatello Marthon with my wife (her first marathon), but it hurt. I haven't run at all since that marathon (half for me), so it's not really my first run since the SF, but hopefully will be my first pain free run since the SF.

I like the nickname captain wonderpant! It is so great to see you running again (mainly from the fact that I like how you look in your running shorts). You are awesome and I love you babe.
