Total run 10 miles, felt good and strong.  Looks like my goal of doing that run at 9 mph for a full hour before Jan should be very doable.

great run, Rhett!

WOW!!! AWESOME TM run and goal plan! Are you following the "discipleship of RivertonPaul"? Have a GREAT week!

From Teena on Mon, Nov 09, 2009 at 12:27:32 from 155.99.202.67

So stinkin' diehard!

Seriously, it is so hard for me to wrap my head around the fact that you were recently injured.

Did you tape today?

From Rhett on Mon, Nov 09, 2009 at 12:53:50 from 74.41.249.102

Tim- thanks, you running today?

Smooth- Yep, if Paul can run so stinking fast with TM training, maybe I can too.

Teena- Yes I did tape today. Even though I had no real pain without tape, it does still feel better with it. You understand, that tightness feeling, but not pain.

From timp on Mon, Nov 09, 2009 at 12:55:09 from 129.188.33.27

yeah I'll 4-5 or something like that - then 6 with 2-3 at MP tomorrow (after root canal appointment - that should be interesting)

From DonGardinero on Mon, Nov 09, 2009 at 13:08:25 from 75.162.175.44

Nice job, Rhett. Wow, it's like you were never injured at all. I don't know how you do it!!!

I like treadmill running. I'm using it as a tool to increase my speed and it seems to be working.

From Kathie on Mon, Nov 09, 2009 at 13:19:02 from 63.248.105.188

Wow Rhett nice goal! I know last year at this time you were doing a AM and PM workout. Are you going to do that again this year?

From Rhett on Mon, Nov 09, 2009 at 13:31:58 from 74.41.249.102

Dale, I enjoy the TM too. I'll probably start taking my running outside as I start my Boston training though so I get used to the harder surface.

Kathie, I really haven't thought about it yet. Last year I did it between Thanksgiving and Christmas to keep off the holiday weight and it worked. I may have to do that again.

good idea on the doubles during the holidays --

From Huans32 on Mon, Nov 09, 2009 at 14:29:05 from 138.64.2.76

I am toying with the idea of doing the doubles too. How would you best go about doing it?? Only 1 day a week for a couple weeks slowly increasing. Or what?? I have a few ideas on what I want to have it look like later one like Tim's. But unsure of how I would work it up that way.

From timp on Mon, Nov 09, 2009 at 14:36:40 from 129.188.33.27

when I had gym membership and I wanted to double, I'd run 4-5 miles in the AM or lunchtime and then cross train on the arc trainer/elliptical (or whatever bores you less) in the PM.

From Huans32 on Mon, Nov 09, 2009 at 14:37:57 from 138.64.2.76

Oh your talking more of starting out doing doubles as first a 2nd workout. Then later turned it into a 2nd run??

From timp on Mon, Nov 09, 2009 at 14:45:54 from 129.188.33.27

yeah I think that's good too - and doesn't stress your body out as much. Or start with two 4 milers and see how it goes. They need to be easy miles though I think.
